Children's Ministry Director

Ancient history: Long ago and far away, when I was a sophomore in high school in California, I became a follower of Jesus. From the start of my faith journey, God has provided believers who were a little older and wiser, who loved me well, and imparted their lives to me- for which I am daily grateful, and which I hope to do for others.

Distant history: As a Navy wife (to Bob) we moved a lot and happily settled in Quarryville in 1994. Over the years, Faith Church became a spiritual family to our five kids. We have experienced firsthand the blessings and benefits of mature Christians imparting their faith and lives to our children.

Currently: Bob (my BFF) and I are in a sweet season of life. He is retired, and is also serving at Faith in ways that are life-giving. Our adult kids, and our three wonderful in-law kids, are lovely humans, and our seven grandkids give us loads of joy and laughter.

It is both a privilege and a weighty responsibility to work in Kids ministry at Faith; to prayerfully consider how the Lord might have us effectively walk alongside young families who desire to raise children who will have their own vibrant relationship with Him.  I believe the most important part of our ministry are the godly volunteers who are living their love for Jesus “out loud”, in the presence of our children. They are helping to create safe spaces where our kids can: 1) Grow in the knowledge of God, 2) Experience the joy of Jesus, and 3) Understand what it means for Christ to be King in all areas of life.

Fun facts:

-The grandkids call me MeMe (pronounced May-May).

- I’m chewing on Matthew chapters 5-7 this year (the Sermon on the Mount), with help from The Bible Project.

- My favorite snack food is good popcorn, made with real butter and lots of salt.
